No, Virginia, 17 US Intelligence Agencies Did Not Say Russia Was Behind Wikileaks Email Dump

No, Virginia, 17 US intelligence agencies did not say Russia was behind the Wikileaks Email Dump. In fact, in an official statement they confirmed they have no real evidence Russia was behind the source of the leaked documents.

The Faux fact checkers at Poltifact twist and turn to call Hillary claim of 17 intelligence agencies said Russia behind hack, when in truth not 1 single agency said they were.
"The 17 separate agencies did not independently declare Russia the perpetrator behind the hacks."
The Homeland Security Department and Office of the Director of National Intelligence released a joint statement that said the hacks were, "are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process." And went on to say, "We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities."
Does that sound like 17 government agencies are behind the wikileaks dump of Clinton Campaign emails or more like a simple generic statement that it wouldn't surprise them if it was and if it was, only a senior official would okay it.
Once again we see a biased mainstream media fact check site calling something the true but then in the body admitting it is completely false.
