In a letter to Senator Rand Paul, Attorney General Eric Holder says the president has authority to use military force against Americans on U.S. soil:
It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States. This news came just ours after an email leaked in which the Obama administration instructed federal officials to make cuts related to sequestration as painful as possible for the American people. They then announced plans to close the White House to the public and release 5,000 more criminal illegal immigrants awaiting deportation into society.
This despite the fact the Obama administration has authorized DHS to re-purpose more than 2700 armored fighting vehicles for use on American streets and the TSA to spend $50 million on new uniforms.
UPDATE: Turns out Obama isn't saving much money by suspending White House tours, they're performed by volunteers. Also, the president was caught doubling down on a lie about the janitorial staff at the capital getting their pay cut.
