Marzel's letter was sent to Bar Rafaeli through her mother when rumors arised that she was considering marriage to Leonardo DiCaprio. Rafaeli has once again captured the national spotlight when she was cast to kiss a nerd in GoDaddy's Superbowl commercial.
DiCaprio is not Arab, of course. But for those concerned with the cultural implications of assimilation, it's not what Leo is but what he isn't -- Jewish.
This isn't personal, wrote Marzel, who was careful to open his letter stressing that he "has nothing against Mr. DiCaprio, who I have no doubt is a talented actor."
