War on Women: Democrats Block Bill That Would Prevent Abortions Based on the Race or Sex of the Baby

When members of the pro-life movement call pro-choice advocates, pro-abortion, those advocates always get offended and exclaim, "no one is for abortion!" After yesterdays vote, I have to wonder how true that excuse is.

A bill reached the floor of the U.S. House that would have made it illegal for doctors to knowingly perform an abortion for the sole reason of gender selection or because of race. Surely liberal democrats who are always claiming they are fighting for women and minorities would back legislation that specifically targets those groups for extermination...

Unfortunately, they didn't.
"In 2007, the United States spearheaded a U.N. resolution to condemn sex-selective abortion worldwide," said Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), the sponsor of the bill. "Yet, here in the land of the free and the home of the brave, we are the only advanced country left in the world that still doesn't restrict sex-selective abortion in any way."
