KC City Council Cracks Down on Businesses
You have to love the pro-business mindset of the KCMO City Council. Amid a stream of companies fleeing for the Kansas border, they vote to increase the fine on companies who fail to timely file their E-tax reports. The fine, which was previously capped at $1,000, will be $30 to $100 per employee. The city hopes the increased enforcement effort directed towards businesses will help them track down those employees who have not paid for the privilege of working in KC.
