When can we quit calling them the Bush tax cuts? Technically the Bush tax cuts expired in 2010 and Obama and the Democrats who controlled both houses of congress voted to extend the rates. That to me would make them Obama's tax cuts, not Bush's.
At the time Obama justified extending the tax cuts saying you can not raise taxes on people during a recession. Now it seems Bill Clinton agrees and is urging Obama to once again extend the tax cuts.
Clinton did say that Congress would be best off agreeing, at least for the time being, to extend all the tax cuts that are set to expire at the end of the year, including the so-called Bush tax cuts.
