A conservation group located in California has come up with a rather inventive marketing ploy. Trust For Public Lands has reached a deal that it says will, “protect a huge swath of land above the Hollywood sign from being developed into luxury homes.”
As part of the deal, for one day the group will cover the sign with a giant blanket that reads “Save the Peak”.
While the ploy is certainly ingenuitive, the real story here is how long the Trust for Public Lands will hold onto their 138-acre, $12 million junk of land before they realize they can make a shit ton of money by developing it themselves.
