Cars.gov is Watching You!

Hoping to cash in on the federal cars for clunkers program? Might want to think again. Internet users hoping to find what their car may be worth as a trade in on cars.gov are getting a little more than they bargained for.

After users click the "agree" button on the requisite privacy statement they are created with the following message from our friends at the U.S. government:

This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. government. Any or all uses of this system and all file son this system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of author agencies, both domestic and foreign.

Best of all, it's 100% legal! Yes, Virginia, Big Brother is watching.
