House Passes Hitler Obama Youth Bill

In their 2nd attempt in as many weeks to violate the Constitution, the Democratic led House of Representatives passed the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act of 2009.

The bill contains language forcing American children to serve in mandatory national service programs. The bill also requires "service learning" to become a mandatory part of their curriculum.
But the bill doesn't stop at forced "volunteerism", it prohibits the basic first amendment rights of all American children:

SEC. 1304. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.

Section 125 (42 U.S.C. 12575) is amended to read as follows:

SEC. 125. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.

(a) Prohibited Activities- A participant in an approved national service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following activities:

(1) Attempting to influence legislation.

(2) Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes

.…

(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.

The bill not only strips children of their basic right to free speech, but violates provisions of the first amendment that state "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof".

not reading and passing the patriot act which allows illegal wire tapping was not at all a violation of the constitution?

bush made more amendments to our beloved constitution than obama has...and the remarks that are sure to come after this post of "give it time he'll have twice as many amendments to the constitution than bush did" is again another right wing tatic of stating what might could or will happen but has yet in actuality come to fuition aka fear mongering. as opposed to what is currently going on.

big government more of a deficit was initially caused by republicans...and now sites/blogs like this act as if it didn't happen and if they do actually acknowledge those wrongs instituted by their elected officials they want to speculate as to what is going to happen.

i think this group (right wingers) are in less of a position in regards to credibility when it comes to speculating what will happen in the future.

evidence: trickle down economics, weapons of mass destruction, amending the constitution to "keep us safe", war on drugs, war on terror, going against SCHIP (out of fear it would be the 1st step toadults getting universal health care), how well have any of those actually worked out for you me and america parties aside? The list goes on and on...so give somebody else the chance to actually mess up before you get up in arms and quickly forget about how your previous decisions in acted after speculation failed.

the right more than the left in recent relevant history has predicted and speculated incorrectly thus making their credibilty on "what will happen" at 0.

oh ya and we'll see by 2012 if he is the anti-christ or if we are goose stepping to his socialist toon...if none of those things like him being a hitler or the world ending and jesus coming back to do battle with the anti christ occur than again you guys(right wingers) were wrong in your speculations as usual...atleast your consistent.

You libs favorite new slogan is "Bush did it first" as if that is some justification. If you dislike Bush so much, why do you now defend Obama when he is doing the exact same crap.

You must not read this blog often. We never supported Bush, we spoke against the patriot act, and are totally against Iraq.

We are constitutionalists.

so who did you vote for in 2000 and 2004 once bush was at the top of the republican ticket?

was it kerry? was it gore? or was it one of the lesser known independants?

and nobody is defending a bushesque amendment to the constitution. just defending the fact that if you are involved in a public service working on behalf of the government which is suppose to work on behalf of the citizens then there is no place for religion. so if you want freedom of speach exercise it on your own time and own dime not everyone wants to hear jesus this or yaway that or allah whatever while serving their country. that is for your personal usage and benefit if you subscribe to those doctrines. thus is why we should not attack religious people because of their religious practices because that is a very personal matter. thus personal institutions such as your choice of religion should not be in a publically funded arena.

if or when obama does amend our right to privacy or attempts to keep citizens from exercising freedom of speach in non public funded arenas then most libs (since you assume i am though i am a nar member and believe in the right to life personally but don't push it on people publically) would not support obama or anything of that nature.
