697,000 More Jobs Lost While Obama Focuses on Attacking Cramer and Limbaugh

The kind of "hope" and "change" President Obama represents becomes more and more clear each passing week.

While an additional 697,000 Americans lost their job last month and the DOW has dropped by a third since he took office, resulting in the loss of $3 trillion dollars, President Obama and his administration are more focused on attacking entertainers like former Obama supporter Jim Cramer, host of CNBC's Mad Money, and radio's most infamous broadcaster, Rush Limbaugh.

"You can go back and look at any number of statements [Cramer's] made in the past about the economy and wonder where some of the back-up for those are."
- White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs [1]

"[Rush Limbaugh] is the voice and the intellectual force and energy behind the Republican Party. And he has been upfront about what he views, and hasn't stepped back from that, which is he hopes for failure."
- White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanual [2]

So you mean, Barack Obama is behind GOP chair Michael Steele exploding the Limbaugh story in the news this past week by calling Limbaugh an ugly and incendiary entertainer.

And Barack Obama is behind Limbaugh publicly responding to Steele, suggesting that no one should donate to the Republican party, and suggesting that maybe Steele should just kill himself.

Barack Obama is the reason the media, including FOX News, jumped on the Limbaugh-Steele feud and rode it for days.

And apparently Barack Obama made Rush Limbaugh say, a good month ago, that he hopes Obama fails at trying to save the economy.

So Barack Obama single-handedly forced Michael Steele, the head of the Republican party, and Rush Limbaugh, the Republican party's star mouthpiece, to publicly savage each other, then he forced all of the major media to cover the story, even though it had nothing to do with Obama.

No wait, I figured it all out. I've put it all together: You're retarded, James. Utterly, completely and absolutely.

What he is probably trying to say is that the campaign is over and it is time to lead. Why is the POTUS or his staff even concerned about a radio talk show host or a hyper active stock picker?

The market is tanking because it doesn't like what is coming from the office of the POTUS. Yes the economy was on its way down, but the market reacts to future expectations, and we were told Obama and crew were professionals who would inspire confidence and lead us out of this mess. Instead the market has accelerated its downfall because this administration doesn't appear to have a clue.

And please don't act upset that Limbaugh and others don't want Obama to succeed with his left wing agenda. This is no different than left wingers who wished Iraq, which was a strategic disaster, to hopelessly fail to hasten the decline of Bush and company.

The difference is that if Iraq was a success or a failure it would not affect every single last person in america as opposed to obama and his financial plan failing which would.

it's like the right wingers and military service men trying to get us to believe that they are fighting for our freedoms in iraq...no they are not. no one from iraq has acted on behlaf of that country to threaten our freedoms...remember the 9/11 highjackers were mainly from saudi arabia. if we fail in iraq (in large we have) the republicans are guestimating what the potential fall out would be. that more terroism would occur though there has not been any evidence to support that theory as far as terroism coming to american shores from iraq or from weapons obtained in iraq.

if obama fails then what?...the far right were right they win that arguement maybe even the next election and our country still will not be what it use to be because of it and be more affected negatively than if we fail in iraq.

so those are apples and oranges

Nicholas,

It is interesting you wrote, "The difference is that if Iraq was a success or a failure it would not affect every single last person in america as opposed to obama and his financial plan failing which would."

You did not try to deny that left wingers wanted failure in Iraq. You just state that failure in Iraq is not bad because it doesn't affect the vast majority of people. Unbelievable. Whether you supported the policy or not, to wish for failure with fellow citizen soldiers in harms way is perfidious.

If Obama brings the economy down, then more people will continue to lose their jobs, savings and endure economic hardship. That's tough, but at least they are still alive and will have the opportunity to regain their wealth as the economy inevitably rebounds despite Obama's tinkering.

With Iraq remaining an open sore, Americans, albeit military service personnel, will continue to be maimed, killed and have their families' lives disrupted. Not to mention the lives of the Iraqis that will continue to be impacted.

You are right. The situations are not the same.

well the difference again is that they volunteered for that service nobody except those that are responsible for the economic crash volunteered to be in the mess we're in. you know and assume the risks when you take military service and that you are subjecting your very life to a commander in chief regardless if you know he is wrong or not

the rest of the taxpayers that choose to not be apart of the american "empire" and help sustain america the country did not volunteer to have the stock market tank and become poor aka the new middle class.

"That's tough, but at least they are still alive and will have the opportunity to regain their wealth as the economy inevitably rebounds despite Obama's tinkering"

there is no guarantee that the economy will bounce back if he fails and that our standard of living will not be impacted for the remainder of our life times. to assume the opposite would be speculation on economics and as far as right wingers/republicans are concerned in regards to speculation on economics the point is moot seeing how well you guys predicted that the trickle down economy would work.

do not attempt to respond with well who will deffend our freedoms when the times arive.

because if our great country's freedoms were actually at risk as they were in ww2 (and no war since has addressed the risk of said freedoms) then americans would be mobilized to fight against being taken over as they did in ww2 with short notice and rising to the occasion.

and i can not care any more for the death of a military service man than i do the everyday non inlisted taxpaying citizen who do to legislation live in a violent terror within our own borders and die every day at a higher rate. where is the pitty and sympathy for them. it seems right wingers care more for people who chose to have their lives put in danger and are not as vigorously speaking out and attempting to change the everyday street warfare that plagues a higher percentage of american citizen since not all inlistees are in a warzone.

you put your life in danger in return for benefits that are not afforded the average citizen such as a salary plus housing allowance, free health care for you a spouse and unlimited amount of children, to name a few and if you feel that is a small price in exchange for your life then don't make the decision to join.

how many other non government jobs are out there that give you free health care regardless of your family's size along with housing assistance and hell even if you have made poor fiscal decisions and have bad credit you can still get a car house or other forms of credit extended to you do to the fact that the creditor knows uncle sam will ensure that it's paid. when you have nothing more than a GED or high school diploma?

it's a trade off your live for opprotunity
