Schools Locked Down as Police Search for Prisoner

Two Kansas City, KS schools have been locked down while police search for an escaped prisoner.
Quindaro Elementary School, in the 2800 block of Farrow Avenue, and Maurice R. Holman Academy, at 3334 Haskell Avenue, were locked down while officers searched.

Unnamed officials within the schools are saying the student prisoner escaped during a President-Elect Obama awareness assembly. They say the escape occurred before indoctrination could be completed.

Police are urging anyone who sees the student prisoner, last seen wearing a red McCain-Palin t-shirt, to contact authorities immediately.
