Zogby: McCain Leads

DrudgeReport is reporting that the Zogby presidential poll has McCain now leading Obama 48-47:
Republican John McCain has pulled back within the margin of error... McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all...

I think if you check your historical records, Zogby had Kerry up at this point, even by more, last go round. And we know how that turned out didn't we.

There has been two great annecdotal tales come out from voters the last two days. One was an Obama supporter in california who cast an early ballot. As she went to fill in the bubble for president she realized she just couldn't do it and voted for mccain.

In another one, a lady voted early in Missouri. She cast her ballot for Obama. Today she regrets that decision and wishes she had it to do over. she feels Obama wasted millions on his 30 minute ad that could have gone to help the poor, instead he spent it on a power grab.

The commonality here is that people are have second thoughts when it actually comes down to casting their ballot. They since something just isn't right with Obama.

As for polls. 87% of people asked to poll refuse. Why is that you think? Could it be they think the popular answer is to say Obama because of the media and they aren't going to say that so they just refuse to answer.

Plus the polls are over sampling democrats heavily, something like 67% to 30% dem v republicans. Yet, Obama only heads a narrow 3 to 5 point lead.

Obama has out spent John McCain by 800%, but 5 points still seperates them.

Obama is the annointed one, according to the media, but he still only leads by five.

Most experts say that undecideds typically break away from the incumbent. Since there has been so much specullation that Obama has already one, he is being seen as the incumbent. This is being played out in poll after poll of early voters that show the undecideds are breaking for McCain.

So if I were you random Obama supporter, you might want to bear in mind what they say about counting your chickens.
