Game 5 of the World Series, which was suspended last night because of rain, has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. central time.
Barack Obama's "historic" 30-minute infomercial is scheduled to air from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. central time on Fox, CBS, NBC, and Univision. ABC has opted not to air the ad, preferring to stick with it's regular fall line up.
While the Obama campaign had been banking on an increase in viewership on Fox because their ad was scheduled to run as a lead-in to a possible Game 6 of the World Series, they will now find themselves pre-empted and without an audience.
UPDATE: Although the Chicago Tribune reported Game 5 will restart at 7:00 p.m. central, the MLB is now saying 7:37 p.m. CST. So while God may have wanted to rain on Obama's parade, the MLB doesn't and is going to go ahead and concede the Obama campaign the audience of what could possibly be the final game of the World Series. We're sure there is absolutely no bias involved in that decision.
