It's Official, Lieberman to Speak at RNC

What a difference eight years makes. The not so long ago vice-presidential nominee of the democrat party will be giving a speach during the Republican National Convention. Did we mention he is not pro-life, is for raising taxes, for censoring video games, supports continued federal funding for sanctuary cities, and he even still believes he got more votes in Florida despite countless recounts by the news media that have time and again proved Bush's victory.

This has been the Kansas Citian reminding you to vote C) None of the above. on Nov. 4th.

Blogger you are missing the point. Joe is good on the war.

This just goes to show how much the Iraq War has sunk the republicans. Legitimate conservatives, who don't support this war, given all the predictions and rationale that turned out wrong, are being drummed out of the party. Yet anyone who supports the war like Lieberman, regardless of their other positions, is celebrated.

I found this through Drudge. Here is a quote from Senator Reid in response to a question about whether Lieberman should be stripped of his Senate committee positions if he speaks at the RNC.

"All my close votes, he's always with me, whether it's the budget or energy issues," Reid said. "No matter what it is, he's always with us. He just does not vote right on Iraq. ... Why would I want to throw away a good vote?"

This is telling. Outside of Iraq, he is always with the democrats. Yet republicans are considering him as their VP. This party deserves to lose in November.
