Voters of the Living Dead

Ross Balanao read a report from Connecticut that found 8500 dead people were on the voter rolls and somehow 300 cast ballots. Now he wants to know if dead people are voting.

My question is; if 300 dead people vote in Connecticut, how many dead people are voting in places like New York, California and Illinois? Why does the task of finding out fall upon students? Why aren’t major newspapers doing this digging.

Are dead people voting in Kansas City? Yes, they are.

Who the hell is Ross Balanao and what are his journalistic credentials? Never heard of him.

"Well, in Connecticut, some journalism students did some digging and found that there were some 8500 dead people still listed on the voter rolls. What’s more the students say, “more than 300 of them had somehow been counted as casting ballots after they died."

Completely anecdotal nonsense. Where is the source material? Where is a link to the research? Where is the proof?

I hate to burst your Fox News Bubble, but somebody saying something don't make it so.

Maybe you should do a little google search before spouting off:

It's happening in MO too:

Spare us your MSDNC news ignoring opinions.

Maybe you should do a little math.

In Connecticut there were 11, count 'em, 11 fraudulent cases of "dead" people voting found by these "students".

Chicago laughs at your fraud! Ahahaha!

I doubt that 11 zombie voters swung the election in either direction. More than likely just a case of a live person with the same name as a dead person. No fraud, just sloppy verification.

The link that you posted for Missouri had NO cases of zombie voters. Just outdated voter registration rolls.

Are there dead people still listed as registered voters? Of course there are! Would you like to have all of that cleaned up?

I'm pretty sure the dead guy isn't going to be filling out any forms and I doubt that cleaning up the governments registered voter list is going to be a priority for the grieving family.

Sounds like a case for BIG GOVERNMENT to me.

How you gonna pay for all of the government employee staff-hours required to comb through every obituary notice in the entire country (sometimes they move before they die) to make sure that every dead person is promptly removed?

Oh! I know! We'll pay for it with a Poll Tax!

Admit it. You don't favor voter IDs to keep dead people from voting.

You're just afraid that some illegal immigrant is going to be more inspired and motivated to partake of the American Dream by voting (albiet prematurely) than some hypocritical right wing republican who is too busy lining his pockets and cheating on his wife in gay airport bathroom sex to go to the polls and vote for John McCain.

So transparent its pathetic.

Maybe you don't read very well. This blog hates John McCain.

The 300 number is also a quote from the KC Star blog. Maybe they should fact check before publishing. Since all the articles on the report have been ocnveniently removed from the original paper's site, that is probably hard to do. But feel free to read the actual report by ocntact UCONN.

And yes, illegal immigrants voting is another very valid concern. But even 11 votes in some elections is enough to steal a win.

My guess, you are one of the same babies that cried fraud in Florida and Ohio but when real evidence of fraud is presented to you, suddenly it's republican scare tactics.

It only takes a few minutes to produce real instances of dead voters. How many illegal alien voters do you think they'd find if someone did a little checking?

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can exist only until the voters discover they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that democracy always collapses over a loose fiscal policy, always to be followed by a dictatorship." - Adam Tyler, in the 1700's

Far too many illegal alien don't want to partake in the American Dream, they just want to suck of its teat for awhile then go back to Mexico, otherwise, they'd come here legally. LEGALLY. Let me say that again, "LEGALLY". Did I mention legally?

So then we all should be able to cross into Canada and Mexico and partake in their "Dreams" too? How about the good ole Russian Dream? Afghani Dream? Iraqi Dream? Chinese Dream? I believe I'm hearing you correctly - that you want a one-world order where we can ignore countries' sovereignty and their laws and just go do whatever we damn well please just because some folks like that sort of thing?

So a little fraudulent voting is ok? Then why not tolerate a little murder, theft, and rape too? It's all just stupid annoying laws, right?

But if someone assaulted your mom, stole your car, and killed your kid, you'd be the first one bawling to the TV crews that you want these criminals brought to justice. I love the ways these libs so dearly want to pick and choose which laws they want enforced purely depending on what mood they're in that day.

Sounds like another kool-aid drinkin' lib to me.
