McCain Flips, Then Flops on Immigration Reform

Yesterday we told you about John McCain's upcoming appearance at the La Raza national convention. Now comes more alarming news that should concern conservative voters about their candidate. McCain has taken another 180 degree turn on his immigration policies.

Remember a few months ago when McCain told us he learned his lesson? He had this to say when speaking to conservatives about this nation's illegal immigration problems.

I know what the message is. The message is we must secure our borders.
- John McCain, January 10, 2008

Well, now we know that, that message got lost somewhere in his 70 year-old, senile brain.

We get in this kind of a circular firing squad on immigration reform in the Congress of the United States, and the lesson I learned from it is we've got to have comprehensive immigration reform.
- John McCain, May 5, 2008

There's those words again, "comprehensive immigration reform," a euphemism for amnesty.
