Are MDs Going to Let You Die in a Pandemic?

An "influential" group of scientists from various universities and governmental organizations have created a list of guidelines for who should and should not receive treatment in the event of a pandemic.

Of course, if you have suffered an injury that leaves you with a high risk of death or no chance for long-term survival you are going to be SOL... but so are these people:

-People older than 85.

-Those with severe trauma, which could include critical injuries from car crashes and shootings.

-Severely burned patients older than 60.

-Those with severe mental impairment, which could include advanced Alzheimer's disease.

-Those with a severe chronic disease, such as advanced heart failure, lung disease or poorly controlled diabetes.

Personally, we'd like to see that age cutoff reduced to 65. But who are we to judge?
