Ron Paul Supporters Hijack Nevada Republican State Convention

In a similar move to what occurred in Missouri recently, Ron Paul supporters (read traditional conservatives) overwhelmed the Nevada Republican State Convention (read blind, neoconservative followers). The Paul supporters then initiated and passed rule changes that would allow anybody to run for a national delegate selection and not just those who were predetermined by the state's Republican Party.

As a result of the dramatic shift, the party chairwoman prematurely suspended the convention.

"Unfortunately, with the rule changes implemented this morning, we did not have time to complete the process," she said. "Our contract for the meeting space had expired, as had our budget, and ballots were unable to be physically produced by the nominations committee. We had to temporarily recess the convention."

Viva La Revolucion!
