MO Says Don't Show Me Real ID

The Missouri House has passed a bill that would prohibit Real ID, as called for by federal legislation. What does this mean for Missouri residents? Well, if MO does not comply with the Real ID Act of 2005, Missouri residents will need a passport to board airlines beginning in 2009. Yes, you will need a passport to fly to California, New York, Texas, even Kansas. Oh, you also won't be able to enter federal buildings without one. The passports that comply with the Real ID act aren't free either. You can expect to pony up $98 for one of these beauties.

Be sure to thank your MO rep. the next time you see them.
