MO 5th District Elects Ron Paul Supporters as National Delegates

The Ron Paul revolution is well under way in Missouri. Earlier Ron Paul supporters showed up in force to the county delegate election and got themselves elected to represent the 5th in the state delegate election. Now, the 5th district of Missouri will send three delegates to Minnesota for the national convention and all three will be Ron Paul supporters.

To avoid challenges by neoconservative members of the Missouri Republican party, the RP delegates agreed to sign a compromise that guaranteed their votes for McCain unless the convention rules change. They still plan on driving the party direction towards more traditional conservative values like lower taxes, fair trade, and a strong defensive military.
