This is Your Brain on a Cell Phone

A new study by French scientist Dr Vini Khurana suggests that cell phone use may ultimately kill more people than smoking. The doctor wants governments and cell phone manufacturers to take immediate steps to correct the problem.

He admits that mobiles can save lives in emergencies, but concludes that "there is a significant and increasing body of evidence for a link between mobile phone usage and certain brain tumors". He believes this will be "definitively proven" in the next decade.

The study concludes that using cell phones for more than 10 years can double the risk of brain cancer. It also calls into question safety assurances from the government that were based on studies that looked at few, if any, cell phone users that had used their phones for that length of time.

The Mobile Operators Association dismissed the study as subjective. They also announced plans to begin using a talking camel with 'cool' appeal to market their products to children.
