Ron Paul Joins WorldNetDaily

One of the only 2008 Presidential candidates that actually means what he says and truly understands America's complex problems has been given a new column on the conservative website WorldNetDaily. Hopefully, grammar like this isn't what we have to look forward to in future columns:

It's not just that the Democrats want to raises taxes on the rich; they want to raises taxes on everybody.

However, he does raises some good points.
While Democrats propose to tax and spend, many Republicans aim to borrow and spend, which hurts the taxpayer just as much in the long run.

The bottom line is that Washington has a serious spending addiction. While both parties debate how to raise the revenue, both parties seem happy to spend more than $3 trillion of your money in various ways.

While some in Washington criticize the war in Iraq, very few are criticizing the interventionist mindset that got us into the war in the first place.

There is no grammatical error in the sentence that you point out. That is a correct use of the semicolon.

It's not the semicolon. Read it out loud.

Notice the use of the plural raises...

"Democrats want to raises taxes"
