KC Representing Strong in Reality Replacements

If your like most of us, you've no doubt been stuck watching the lastest rounds of reality TV blather waiting for your favorite shows to go back into production now that the writers strike is over. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, for us, we've got a couple of KC's own competing.

David Cook formerly of Blue Springs, MO made the top 24 of Fox's American Idol and will perform live on next week's episode. You can bet the local fans of the show will be voting strong for this rocker.

Meanwhile, 23 year old Olathe, Kansan Sharon Obermueller nearly saw her 15 minutes of fame cut short win her and her ex were unexpectedly booted from the house in the second episode of CBS's Big Brother 9. To our surprise, we learned late last night that one of the show's gay contestants prematurely departed and Sharon has been let back in to fill the void.

So while we may have to wait a few more weeks to find out if Hiro and Peter Petrelli can save the day once again or whether Dr. McDreamy will get back with and/or dump (not necessarily in that order) Meredith Grey we can all root for our fellow Kansas Citians to not embarrass us too bad on national television.
