Because Candlelight Vigils Just Aren't Enough

Demolition and new construction of the bridge on Noland Rd that passes over I-70 is set to begin this weekend. One women is sad to see it go.

Since December 2005, Deborah Large has been bringing flowers and photographs to the bridge’s northeast corner, maintaining a memorial for her son, George F. “Buddy” Large.

"Buddy" was killed on the bridge when he was illegally street racing on Noland Rd and slammed into another car. Instead of counting herself fortunate that her son did not kill a family of four on their way home from church when he slammed into that car, she wants to errect a permanent memorial for her son. She is currently seeking 100 signatures and $2000 to support her effort.
